The Hands Off Venezuela Campaign and the Workers International League are pleased to announce that Miguel Campos, an activist with Venezuela's FRETECO (Revolutionary Front of Workers in Occupied and Worker-controlled Factories) will be in St. Louis, MO, this weekend (November 4 and 5) to speak at the National Rank and File Conference organized by the Labor Action Coalition.  Workers from throughout the Midwest, including locked out and striking trade unionists will be in attendance.

Campos will be speaking on the trade union and factory occupation movement throughout Latin America and in Venezuela in particular.  The experience of workers' co-management and control in Venezuela is rich in lessons for all working people. He will also have the latest information on the upcoming Panamerican Gathering in Defense of Rights, Land Reform and Industries to be held December 8-10 in Joinville, Brazil.  We are building support for this important continent-wide conference and are working to send a delegation of U.S. workers.

For more information on FRETECO, the Panamerican Gathering, or to arrange an interview with Campos while he is in the U.S., please write [email protected] or call John Peterson at 651-373-7609.
