The October Revolution of 1917 was a pivotal event in human history. Within the space of a few months, the repressive Tsarist state had been overthrown and the Bolshevik Party led the soviets (workers councils) to form a new kind of government: a workers democracy. What can be learned from this momentous event and those who led it?

2pm | Lessons of the 1968 Chicago DNC

56 years ago, the Democratic National Convention in Chicago was the scene of chaos and mayhem, as the full force of the state was employed against antiwar protestors. These events had a profound impact on consciousness. With the 2024 DNC around the corner and the continued slaughter in Gaza, the DNC might once again be a flash point in the political radicalization of a generation.
