The LGBTQ struggle has repeatedly proven relevant as reactionary attacks on trans people and drag performances have made headlines and impacted lives. These attacks have given Pride an importance more reminiscent of earlier days, where more of us realize that this is less about celebration and more a call to action and to struggle.
