Providence Immigrant Rights ProtestOn March 12th and 13th there were demonstrations called in Providence, RI in response to the raid, detention and deportation of immigrant workers that took place last week in the Massachusetts city of New Bedford.

Along with dozens of other workers and students who took part in these demonstrations , comrades of the WIL were present,  and were able to address the demonstration with their perspectives for the movement for immigrant workers’ rights. The comrades had on hand the new issue of Socialist Appeal, which includes the article The Tasks of the Immigrant Workers’ Movement: For a working class program!

This Saturday, March 17th, there is another demonstration planned, this time in New Bedford, MA.

We need a massive outpouring of workers and students to demand the release of the detainees from the raid.
